(We often get asked questions about places to stay by riders who have not been in the area before...Many of the lodges, hotels and campgrounds are excellent and here is a good example of one of the best-as rated by visitors!)
ASHLAND RESORT RECEIVES AN “A” GRADE
IN THE THIRD ANNUAL CONSUMER SATISFACTION SURVEY
OF INDEPENDENT, PRIVATELY-OWNED PARKS

Ashland, West Virginia, February 2, 2011 – Ashland Resort was
one of only 33 campgrounds, RV parks and resorts across the country to
earn an all around “A” grade in the third annual GuestRated™
satisfaction survey of independent parks.
This 76-site ATV park, located on State Route 17 at Ashland,
received an “A” grade in overall guest satisfaction for the year 2010.
Ashland Resort, an ATV campground [www.atvresort.com] imbedded in
Hatfield-McCoy’s Indian Ridge Trail System, provides direct trail
access. Guided by a mission of creating the ultimate camping
experience, manager David Teasdale stated, “We were completely
surprised by this high award. In fact, we weren’t even aware that it
existed. We are just completing our first year with GuestReviews™.
Awesome!”
The top-rated parks were announced at the Rio All Suites Hotel &
Casino in Las Vegas during a Dec. 3rd awards ceremony hosted by the
National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds.
More than 30,000 camping and RV enthusiasts completed reviews in
the GuestRated.com online survey, grading their experiences at 2,400
independent RV parks and campgrounds.
“Twenty-two of this year’s top parks also received ‘A’ ratings
last year, and thirteen parks have now received ‘A’ ratings three
years in a row,” said Bob MacKinnon, president and founder of
GuestRated.com.
MacKinnon suggests that campers visit the “Best Rated Parks”
page at www.guestrated.com to see where each of the award-winning
parks is located and view their individual web pages.
Camping enthusiasts are also encouraged to submit their own
reviews of the campgrounds and RV resorts they have recently visited
by going to www.guestrated.com and clicking on the “Rate a Park” tab.
Each park receiving reviews displays a GuestRated™ Report Card showing
the current year’s ratings based upon online feedback from their
campers.
As camper interest grows in online ratings, GuestRated.com
expects to receive reviews for a total of 4,000 parks by the end of
2011. That will be nearly half of the nation’s private parks.
The GuestRated national online survey program was launched in
February 2008 in collaboration with the National Association of RV
Parks and Campgrounds.
